Before you start
You'll need:
- Admin access to your Zoho CRM account
- A Muntri account (sign up free)
- About 30 minutes of hands-on time
Step 1: Export your data from Zoho CRM ~10 min
Using Zoho's built-in export
- Go to Setup > Data Administration > Export
- Select the modules you want to export: Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Deals, Activities
- Choose CSV format
- Click Export. Zoho generates a ZIP file with one CSV per module.
- Download the ZIP and extract the files.
Tip: If you use Zoho's custom modules or custom fields, include them in the export. Muntri's AI will attempt to map them automatically.
Step 2: Import into Muntri ~5 min
Upload your CSVs
- Log into your Muntri workspace
- Go to Imports from the sidebar
- Upload your Contacts CSV first (this creates the contact records)
- Muntri's AI analyzes columns and suggests field mappings
- Review, adjust if needed, and confirm
- Then upload Accounts, then Deals

Step 3: Verify and clean up ~10 min
- Review duplicate flags. Muntri detects duplicates by email and company name. Merge in bulk from the import summary.
- Check pipeline stages. Zoho's default stages (Qualification, Needs Analysis, Value Proposition, etc.) may differ from Muntri's defaults. Rename in Settings > Pipeline Stages.
- Spot-check records. Open 5-10 contacts and deals to verify data integrity.
- Invite your team. Add users from Admin > Users.
Step 4: Explore what Zoho couldn't do Ongoing
With your data in Muntri, you now have access to capabilities that weren't available in Zoho CRM:

- Natural language queries: ask "Show me deals closing this month over $50K" and get instant charts

- Autonomy controls: set each AI feature to manual, co-pilot, or fully autonomous
Migrating from multiple Zoho apps?
